Moriah Luxury Homes ("we", "us") respects your privacy. This policy explains what personal information we collect when you browse our website or book one of our residences, how we use it, and the choices you have.
1. Information we collect
- Booking & enquiry details — your name, email address, phone number, preferred travel dates, guest numbers, and any message you send us through the contact form, by email, or on WhatsApp.
- Payment confirmation details — records of deposits and payments made by bank transfer, M-Pesa, or card. We do not store card numbers; payments are processed by your bank or payment provider.
- Basic technical data — standard web server logs (IP address, browser type, pages visited) used to keep the site secure and understand general usage. We do not run advertising trackers.
2. How we use your information
- To respond to enquiries and manage your reservation, check-in, and stay.
- To send booking confirmations, payment receipts, and essential stay information.
- To meet legal and accounting obligations in Kenya.
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it with third parties for marketing. Your details are only shared where necessary to deliver your stay (for example, with the caretaker of the residence you booked) or where the law requires it.
3. WhatsApp and email communication
If you contact us on WhatsApp, your messages are handled under WhatsApp's own terms and privacy policy in addition to ours. Email enquiries are received at moriahluxuryhomes@gmail.com and kept only as long as needed to manage your booking history.
4. How long we keep your data
Booking records are retained for up to seven years to satisfy tax and accounting requirements, after which they are deleted. Enquiries that do not lead to a booking are deleted within twelve months.
5. Your rights
Under Kenya's Data Protection Act, 2019, you may request access to the personal data we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it where we have no legal obligation to keep it. To exercise these rights, email us at moriahluxuryhomes@gmail.com.
6. Security
We limit access to your information to the team members who need it, and we use reputable providers for email and messaging. No method of transmission over the internet is completely secure, but we take reasonable steps to protect your data.
